Scope & Funding

The Dalhousie Inflammation Group represents a unique inflammation research resource in Canada through the combined experience and research methodologies of the investigators.

Our goal is to promote excellent, disease relevant, research in inflammation and to provide an optimal training environment for young investigators.

The group's research endeavors include an extensive range of basic and applied projects funded by national agencies including The Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Canadian Diabetes Association, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and a number of pharmaceutical companies.

Several of the group's members are active clinicians at either the QEII Health Sciences Centre or the IWK Health Centre, the tertiary care facilities for adults and children in Maritime Canada.
